Blue Desert

Original artwork on canvas 60x60 cm. The title and theme of this artwork takes inspiration from the Blue Desert area found in the Sinai Desert of Egypt. Which is famous for having a number of rocks that are painted in blue, that were painted by Belgian artist Jean Verame to symbolise a line of peace. In this artwork a small town and desert are portrayed together, to show how the two live in harmony and peace with one another. Certain small buildings and doors painted in blue to embody this peace that is found in Oman throughout all its towns, villages, and natural habitats, and how this peace transcends to create the unity found in the inhabitants of Oman.
